Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 September 2026
By using AnyonWiki you agree to these terms. Browsing the site and downloading data require no account and no agreement beyond the licence terms of the data itself. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not create an account or submit contributions.
Open access
The scientific content of this site is published openly in the AnyonWikiDatabase repository under the licence stated there. You may download, copy, redistribute and build upon it, including for commercial research, subject to that licence.
Citation
If you use data obtained here in published work, we ask that you cite the sources listed on the citation page and in the References and Software sections of the pages you used. This is a scholarly expectation rather than a licence condition, but it is how the people who produced the data are credited.
Automated access
Reasonable programmatic use of the site and its API is welcome. Please do not place enough load on the service to degrade it for others; for bulk use, download the dataset archive instead of crawling individual pages.
Sign-in
Accounts are created through ORCID, and a GitHub account may optionally be linked. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping access to it secure.
Roles
Accounts carry a role that determines what they may do. Role changes can be requested through the contact form and are granted at our discretion.
How contributions are made
Corrections and additions are submitted through the contact form or as pull requests on the relevant GitHub repository. Anything you submit is reviewed before it is published.
Licensing your contribution
By contributing, you confirm that you are entitled to submit the material and you agree that it may be published under the same open licence as the rest of the corresponding repository. You keep whatever rights you already hold in your own work.
Attribution
Contributions are credited through your ORCID iD or GitHub account. If you delete your account, the contributions remain but the personal attribution on this site is removed.
Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit, and for citing the sources it comes from.
You agree not to:
- Knowingly submit false or fabricated data
- Submit material you do not have the right to publish openly
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform
- Interfere with the service or place undue load on it
This database is under active development and some entries may be incomplete or incorrect. It is a research resource, not an authority: verify anything you intend to rely on, and please tell us when something looks wrong. Provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, AnyonWiki and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or of data obtained through it. The service may change or become unavailable at any time.
You may delete your account at any time from your settings. See the privacy policy for what is removed and what is kept.
We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Questions about these terms can go to support@anyonwiki.org or through the contact form.
